Truth and Lies by ~MusicRocksGBV:iconMusicRocksGBV:

Precious eyes
Dead eyes
Eyes daring for truth to be told

A mouth that frowns
A heart that cries
Wherein lies the heat of gold

Who is there to disprove the lies?
Who will retell the dormant truths?
His eyes.  So destitute and poor.

He still only understands half.
He still comprehends so little.
Running in circles, he has stopped.

The truths nearly forgotten,
Lost in the midst of dear loss.
This injured soul, daring you to show.

Truth and lies
Search for the victor
Only HIS arrival will decide.

Who will step up?
Who will again be the teacher?
Who will show again, reminding the broken -

The loss of courage isn't withheld.
It shall lie dormant until you decide
Do.  Act.  Choose to act for your truth.

Show what you know
Do what you love
Be who you are

Teach again those who have forgotten.
Sorrow and pain.  Nothing is truly lost.
You carry the memory.  Use it to their glory.

Take up your pride again.
Take up your faith in the truth.
Shoulder the weight and grieve not for those gone.

Those you love have left you themselves.
Honor their memory by standing on your feet.
Defend who you are and become what you admire.

Love.  Choose.  Be.

Ironically, this was inspired by 3AM watchings of Naruto. Lol, yes, I have indulged and am curious to figure out why all you Naruto fans love it so much. Lucienne was watching one of the first story arcs and has gotten to the point around episode 12 with that boy who lost his father and my heart goes out to him. I think I feel for that loss and I am beginning to understand the courage to stand that the boy finally takes up and shoulders to himself. There is a lot in anime that talks about various rites of passage for kids becoming adults or for overcoming great pain and suffering or for other similar things but what it really boils down to is a decision. A decision to remember and stop blocking what someone might have tried to tell you once upon a time. Oh, and it's funny. This boy who was the inspiration? The same one who is the voice actor for Yahiko in Rurouni Kenshin. He even has the black spiky hair to match Yahiko's. Just, no bamboo practice sword, slightly different era, and he's shorter. Haha. Anyway, here is my blurb on what I was thinking about that situation. XD

This is kind of just a sketch but I'll leave it as a deviation anyway, because I've done the same kind of thing on a lot of my past deviations. Ummm. (lol, anooooo...too much anime XD Orihime, get your voice out of my head, OUT!) It's probably a WIP but I don't think I'll take it much beyond this at this point. Bai!

haha i totally don't get the appeal of naruto but man the poem it inspired here is awesome LOL (that said i watched naruto in the hospital so i associate it with bad things and am sure that i could give it another chance  )

metaphors about various forms of blindness here are most powerful

Yeah, it's just a typical fighter anime with a boy who has a dream and a few complications but for actual analytical depth fun stuffness, I can't seem to be getting into it. It's mostly a lot of technical fun so far I think. Yeah, it was an interesting idea lol...and on a story arc I had already read in the manga relatively recently. I'm trying to see what the appeal is too, as I had previously thought it was just one of those mass fandom following things and I just didn't want to get caught up in it. Lol, some things I avoid just because it's on the most popular side. Lol. Or something. I don't know, I have strange reasons for not doing some things.

And I'm glad those metaphors worked. Hee. Lol. And awesomesauce, just for goodness of joybunnies.

Ha, yeah me neither. Rofl. People almost had to drag me with wild horses to the Harry Potter fandom...at the time I didn't know a thing about it...quite honestly, I had only looked at the covers and as enchanting as they were, I still thought that they were some cheesy and stupid story about cowboys. Haha. How wrong I was! Lol. And with Inuyasha, well, I just didn't even know about that but friends like Obi and Sara(Mellina here on dA) introduced those to me about two maybe three years ago? So yeah. Haha. And then later on, I would do the "stay up to watch them!" thing. Heehee.

I really do love this. The last three words made an impression on me... and if people in the world could listen to such words, they wouldn't be so idiotic.

Ah yes, the most recently submitted item. Thank you so much for the comment! Haha, and the world can be idiotic at large, can't they? I'm glad my few words made an impression on you, as you say. Thanks again!
